It was Michael Jackson who changed the music video from a mere promotional tool featuring musicians playing instruments and singing, to a piece of art with a storyline, or as Michael likes to put as 'short films'. 
His video Thriller influenced and changed music videos into what it is like today.
It was Michael Jackson , who broke down MTV's color barrier and revolutionized Music Television
Attention MUST be paid to the Legacy of Michael Jackson!

For some reason, MTV made a decision to remove Michael Jackson's name from this award.
This was when,Michael was fighting for his life,in a court of law. He was later, acquitted and the accusations against him were proven FALSE.
It is time for MTV to honor the commitment,they made to Michael Jackson, his children, his family and his fans.
We can not name, one artist that has changed the world of Music Television, more than Michael Jackson
It is time for MTV to "do the right thing" and honor "the King of POP"

Dr Murray arrived late, citing problems with the Traffic

Judge Pastor said that he had been up all night due to the fact that the Defense filed their motion late. Waldgren said that he had not had time to read it in order to file an answer by 6pm that day.

Defence requested that the Trial begin on 23rd May. Judge Pastor didnt feel this was realistic. He had no problem with the Defence requesting a Continuance, however he did dispute some of the facts surrounding it.Judge Pastor stated that he wanted both sides to be ready when they say they are ready. Defense said that as soon as the get a report they will ensure the Prosecution will get a copy of it!

Defense cited it needed 2 weeks to prepare for the Experts Testimonies

However Prosecution is concerned they will be in the same position 2 weeks from now!

Defense is getting new expert witnesses to present unknown issues and as such there maybe a problem with readiness

Completed Discovery and Addresses motions in limbo will signify readiness. 

Defense has stated that they want to waive their rights to effective assistance and  a speedy trial.

Defense has requested a delay in the start to the Trial citing that they need more time to review reports from two new witnesses

Judge Pastor stated that Murray had a constitutional right to a speedy trial and that the Defense is entitled to continuance and there is good cause for it. 

Started discussing dates.... Taking recess to allow them to do so.

Murray in chambers with his Attorneys making decision on early or late date.

After recess started discussing starting Sept 7th

Opening Statements maybe Sept 20th. Other option something in June or July.

Judge cant do July, he has a Capital case and another case in August asked them to choose a new date.

Chernoff cannot do July since it is his month to spend with his 14yr old son. Cannot do early June either.

Decided Jury selection will begin Sept 8/9th. Current Jury to be dismissed, and alll Jury questionnaires to be ripped up.

Trial will start Sept 20 2011 with Jury selection on the 8th.

Murray agrees to new date giving up right to speedy trial. Murray's Bond still stands.

Judge Pastor's ruling  in regards to the delay, although in the interest of Justice, seems to only favour the Defence!

The Defence has  forced the State to be ready for a speedy trial and now the Judge allowed them to change their minds.  This is totally unfair and wasting more taxpayers dollars.
